Hi Fawny! I'm going to start a discussion now above and give you contact details for the people planning one closest to you, which is in the green space at the top of Patricks Hill, which is kind of round the corner isn't it? Unless you want to start a new one from scratch....

hey all re flyers... i had a chat with naomi and she is going to get a generic flyer done for us all.will have some graphics and txt and space then to fill in your details about your own venue, times, anything extra you need to put on it. so that should be on its way asap. do you know if i can put a file up on the message board? if not i can email it to everyone and ye can print to yer hearts content! anyway im sure we'll figure it out. enjoy the weekend :D

Hi Nikki/Eimear, just wondering about those flyers - they sound like a great idea....can I order some from ye for the Wilton Big Lunch? You can text me your number if you like and I'll ring you with details? My number is 086-3462091. I'm a bit stuck for time as I'll be away from Wed to Sunday and I know ye are planning an update meeting next Monday so I'm hoping to distribute the flyers tomorrow evening if possible....sorry for late notice...if it's not possible to get them by tomorrow I'll do up simple one here and distribute that instead.

cool thanks nikki, i think thats pretty much what i was going to post re the meeting so thats great. only other thing i can think of was in relation to was advice from the city council about holding the lunches in the street, there was a lot of different opinions but Claire pointed out that you didnt need insurance. I was wondering if it might be a good idea for one person to organise a brief meeting with the community and enterprise officer just to promote what we are doing, they might have some other ideas or be able to help in some way. yay or nay? any volunteers! good point about the risk factor also, any ideas for getting around that?maybe just flyer door to door and put up a generic poster in a local shop, pub? might be less noticeable than posters all over but still get the message across to the local community...
also margaret and pat.... there will be a meeting on monday evening at the south presentation with the local community, they were having a public meeting anyway and patricia, the community development officer, thought it would be a good idea for us to come and introduce the project and get a plan of action together. lucey will also be attending i think. would be a great way of getting word quickly around the neighbourhood. i think its 7.30. ill call you anyways on monday and we can go from there. regards to all!
