A project to encourage and facilitate local food production in
the Cork area. We feel that given the current unstable economic and
ecological climates it makes sense for us to be meeting the bulk of
our own needs from within our own borders

We imagine a web of community gardens, allotments, urban and rural
farms and food parks all over Cork run independently by local
communities and linked by the shared need to feed ourselves and
mind our environment. Groups could share skills, materials and
tools and come together to celebrate the joy of communal creativity.
This is a project initiated by a collaborative group including several members of Cork Greenmap (John, Alice, Naomi, Diarmaid), CEF (Patrick), and EDA (Brian) - see links page for more info on these groups.
